I don’t know why’s everyboy complaining (1-star reviewers), because I think the app is alright. Fine, it’s no Apple Design Award winner, but it does that job and it’s free. I’m a freelancer and I normally use FocusList for Pomodoros, but tomorrow I’m going to try to follow *school* schedule! So I wanted an app to give me ringing at set times.

Exactly what I was looking for. Westminster Chime reminds me of walking in the snow on Parliament Hill in Ottawa :) The only thing it doesnt do is ring the hour itself... but it sounds good... and its free!!

I’m stuck with a perpetual reminder that this update is available - but it won’t install because apparently it is open and when I respond “Continue” which it indicates it will close the open application and continue with the install, it does nothing and the error message repeats until I cancel it.

The chimes available in this app are all to complicated or sustained. Remember once set this app chimes ever hour or half hour so the chimes provided get very annoying. The single chimes should have a selection of simple bell, cuckoo or other short duration but distinctive sounds. I had had to substitute one of the single chime sounds with a sound I could put up with listening to every hour. Otherwise the app works fine and provides an option that Apple use to provide in OS 9 and earlier. Apple’s OS now has the option to speak the time but not to provide a selection of chimes.

アップデートしたら、スケジュール以外の時間ではならなくなった。いじって直る時もありますが、再起動したら、またもとに戻した。 購入する当初の意図と異なる結果のなった。 バグでしたら、早く直してほしい。そうしたら再評価したいと思います。 After update it never bell unless you add a schedul. Even you choose the clock mode ,it will always turn to schedul mode when you restart you Mac.

great and usefull applicaion, it works properly, without waves. All beliviers and chootheir bell, from catholics to buddists.

For a free app, it does its job. However, the limited variety of the bell selection was the thing that immediately made me delete it.

Id love to be able to "ring the bell" for home school in session several times, rather than only an hourly ring.

I give it a 2 instead of a 1 because the bells are really very nice, except that they dont have a clue how the Westminster Chimes ring. They could easily find out from Wikipedia (or from my email to them). Theyve decided to present the sequence that is rung on the hour at Westminster before the hour is counted as one option, and the sequence that counts the hour as a second, separate option. At Westminster they are always rung together. The first one is they offer to repeat on the half hour, instead of the appropriate quarter, half, and three-quarter hour sequences. The really bad problem with this application, though, is that the controls dont work properly. When I activate the Mute checkbox I get a strangely inconsistent behavior, where sometimes it doesnt chime and sometimes it does! If I set the apps volume to zero, that reduces the frequency of the chiming, but eventually it will still decide to chime anyway! For this outrageous behavior I would have given the app a 1 (or a zero, if that were possible in the App Store), except that many of the bells really are nice.

Great choice of bells and peel frequency. Good control over parameters - all in all very well done. My music students love to hear what the "Bell of the Day" will be when they come for lessons. And this time of year, the Sleigh Ride bells are superb. Thanks for a great FREE app!

A nie replacement for the built in announce the hour system preference. Please add quarter hour chims as well.

I like the choice of sounds and controls. It works great.

This app does exactly what it claims. I love that its non-intrusive, but I would enjoy seeing a few for options for the chimes down the road.

Being a ringer of tower bells, I love the true cast bell tone. I would love to have a midi instrument patch to write some carillon pieces. As far as Westminster goes, I would like to have it ring the quarter hour and toll the time each hour.

Volume control has NO EFFECT. And Id really like an old fashion American Grandfathers Clock type bell.

works great, has lots of bell sounds, very unique, it doesnt have an exstinsive collection, but, the Cathedrail bell is one of my favorites, has a music that is both unique and neat. I give it top marks.
